It all started with a ring. In case some of you didn't know Rustin had pink sapphires placed in my engagement ring to make it really MINE. So the pink started there and NEVER ended! :)

My dress was perfect for my style! It was a Mori Lee diamond white, A line dress, with details on the top bodice. It also had a detachable train so I was able to clip it off and dance the night away comfortably! I wore my friend Danette's veil as my borrowed, my new was my dress, my old was a piece of lace from my moms baby dress that my Nana has sewn into her wedding dress for her something old too! Funny story about my something blue it was a hanky I was going to carry with me in case of tears and I forgot it! Good news is my garter was Dallas Cowboys and so it was blue! :)

The boys wore traditional black tuxes with black vests. I swore to Rustin that I would not make him wear any pink except for the flower. The boys seemed to really shine as Men in Black! :)

The girls wore pink empire waisted dresses and carried white roses. I carried pink roses with white stephanotis with pearl accents. I thought we all looked awesome and each girl did their hair, shoes, and jewelry the way they thought looked best. And yes that is Jo from our class the 2nd from the end! We have been best friends for almost 8 years now!

Rustin and I were married in my home church First Baptist of Grand Prairie. I was born and raised in this church and baptized there when I was younger, I always knew I wanted to be married there and when Rustin and I would visit my parents when we were dating he agreed it was perfect. Rustin had been saved during an FCA retreat in high school, but he was never formally baptized so a few months before the wedding he was also baptized at FBCGP making the church very special to both of our families.

Our centerpieces were very simple bc our venue had a 360 view of the city of Dallas and Arlington. So we had lots of candles and rose petals on all the tables under hurricane glasses. We also had pictures and pink CDs scattered on the tables next to the pink menus.

For our favor we had an all Pink candy bar and donated money in honor of my Nana to Susan G Koman. My Nana is now a 2 year Pink Warrior breast cancer survivor. So when we knew pink was for sure the color the shade was decided based on the pink warriors! :)
