My gorgeous bridesmaids have very different tastes and looks, and no one dress seemed to fit all of them. For their dresses, I picked the dress company and the fabric and they could select any floor-length dress they wanted in any of 4 colors. They actually all picked strapless mermaid dresses. Here are my girls in their dresses:
In this picture Stephanie's dress looks really light, but it was actually a lot darker than mine.

The wedding party. The groomsmen and Jonathan all wore traditional tuxedos.
Since the bridesmaids' dresses were all different colors, we went with all white flowers. White flowers are my favorites! (Have I mentioned before that I'm boring?) Our florist was under strict instructions not to include any calla lilies in my bouquet because I'm super allergic to them (found that out as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding), and I really don't like them. Well, he halfway paid attention-there were fake calla lilies in my bouquet with all the real flowers. grr!

My jewelry was one of my favorite things at our wedding. My cousin, Sarah, who was also the Maid of Honor made it! She was a jewelry design major at Texas Tech at the time, and she designed and made my necklace, I didn't even see it until the week of the wedding. It was strands of silver chain with brown and gold topaz, and around the neck were tiny pearls. With it I wore my Nana's diamond earrings as my something old and something borrowed, and my engagement ring was my something blue.

We don't really have pictures of the centerpieces at the reception. What is that about? Don't they know how long it takes to pick these things out? ;) These are the closest we have:
This was on the kids table. The ornaments are filled with candy.

Jonathan's uncle, who is a minister at a church in Lafayette, Louisiana performed our wedding ceremony, it was really nice to have someone close to Jonathan that knew him so well doing the wedding, he did a wonderful job! Here are some more pictures of our ceremony:

A couple more random things that I don't really have good pictures of... I had a veil, but it was a freakishly hot 85 degrees in December the day of our wedding, and I got too hot when the put it on, so I ended up not wearing it. When we left the nobody threw anything, they rang bells. My MOH Sarah and I spent a few hours one night stringing little Christmas bells on to ribbon, and everyone shook those as we made our getaway.

*We also have a prayer request for this week. We found out Sunday night Jonathan's stepdad, Carl, has been in the hospital since last week with Pancreatitis. He's in the ICU in Little Rock, (where they live), and not doing very well. He's on the ventilator and they've started doing dialysis, but he's still in pretty serious condition. Could y'all please keep him in your prayers?
